Cable Railway to Hochalmbahn mountain station.
With the 6-passenger gondola lift of the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen, you can reach the bird of prey center at the mountain station and the gold panning place at the middle station in just a few minutes. It is the starting point of many beautifull walks with magnificent panoramic views.
Explore and discover the fascinating world of birds of prey, right there before your eyes. Enjoy a 40-minute flight show with these intrepid plumed gliders: eagles, falcons, buzzards and great owls. The bird-of-prey station lies at 1,780 m above sea level, right next to the Hochalmhütte.
At two gold-panning sites – the Bodenhaus and the Heimalm – you will be able to pan for fine flakes of gold in the water. Of course, you are welcome to take these golden souvenirs home with you!
From the mountain, the cool water flows into the Zeller See where it invites you to relax, swim and enjoy. Three comfortable beach baths (Zell am See, Schüttdorf and Thumersbach) are scattered around the lake and offer a wealth of fun and cozy corners to relax.
